Hemp Hero | Rachel Carson

Bed Sheets That Rachel Carson Would Have Approved Of Loved

Who Was Rachel Carson?

Rachel Carson was born in 1907 in Springdale, Pennsylvania, and grew up with a love of nature.

She studied biology at Chatham College in Pittsburgh and went on to earn a master's degree in zoology from Johns Hopkins University.

Carson's work as a government scientist, which she began after completing her graduate studies. Carson worked for the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (later the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) for several years, writing radio scripts and other materials about marine biology and conservation.

It was during this time that she began to develop an interest in the impacts of synthetic pesticides on the environment, this is one of the main reasons we believe she would of loved, our organic hemp, with no pesticides and in time we will have a world where there is no need to use any chemicals on the growth of hemp.

How did Rachel Carson impact the future and create an environmental legacy?

We may all know the EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency ) now, though how did a writer and the book “Silent Spring” together help create what we know Today.

In a period ( if not like any of the modern era ) where a country and government were mainly focused on Capitalism, and environmental protection being the last thing on their mind, Rachel created enough Public noise for the U.S. government to take action. Imagine...

The adversity she faced, the rhetoric she copped touring the country and promoting her book on T.V. and Radio were enormous. As we all can sympathise, she was branded a hippy, greeny, and extremist for protecting the environment.

So she overcame public scrutiny and created the argument in a format they could not ignore; the rest is history. As history writes, she and her book were pivotal in forming the EPA.

Why Rachel Carson is a perfect Hemp Hero!

As you can see, Rachel Carson is for sure a hemp hero, her ongoing advocacy for the environment and humans, as we all understand the impact of synthetic chemicals on us humans, is precisely why we believe Rachel would have loved sleeping in Jo Dope Bed Sheets.
